Use SW Body + Inset when you want article-style copy to continue beside and then below a shorter callout card. Use SW Pillar Section when the page needs structured side-by-side columns. Pillar Section also supports secondary content such as media, forms, and a dedicated bullet list. The choice comes down to flow: editorial wrap-around for Body + Inset, or a defined two-column presentation for Pillar Section.
Style → Form Box Settings → Background Option → Effect. Turn on glass, grain, and/or pattern; optional rim highlights the form box edge (defaults to visible when Effect is on).
For a solid fill, choose Color instead. For no painted box background, choose None.
Start with the module height settings. A fixed or taller hero can leave deliberate space around short content. Next, review Vertical Alignment and Module Inner Spacing. Also check the end of each rich-text field for an empty paragraph. If a blank button area still takes up space after those checks, contact support.
Open Style → Content Colors. Use the main Text Color / Link Colors for the body Content Area. Expand Inset Content for the inset card’s text and links. Card background, border, and radius stay under Inset Card Styles.
Module Inner Spacing belongs to the content container, so it works whether or not you use an Outer band. It controls the space around the content inside the module's centered layout. Module Outer Spacing is separate and applies to the full-width outer band when that layer is enabled. Use the Inner setting for content breathing room and the Outer setting for spacing around the broader section.
Use SW Basic Page for privacy statements, legal pages, and other straightforward pages built mainly from text. It keeps the global site header and footer and starts with one SW Body + Inset module with the inset turned off. The content area uses a comfortable reading width and includes sample headings, paragraphs, lists, and a blockquote. Replace all sample content before you publish, or use the module as a clean starting point for a simple custom page.
The templates use standardized module names so you can recognize the same module wherever it appears. A label such as SW Hero identifies the module itself instead of tying it to one page type or position. Pages created earlier may keep the custom labels that were saved with them. You can rename a module in the page editor when a page-specific label would make the list of page modules easier for your team to scan.
First, open the HubSpot menu and confirm that the parent item has a URL. When it does, the parent label should navigate to that URL, while the separate caret opens its child links on mobile. Publish the global header after changing the menu, then hard-refresh the page. If the parent still will not open its URL, request a theme update or contact support.
The Heading Panel wraps the section intro—headings, optional Content Area description, and heading buttons. Style it under Style → Heading Panel Settings.
Use SW Hero on new pages. SW Simple Hero is deprecated and hidden from new placements in the current Smithworks theme. Do not replace an existing SW Simple Hero instance only because it is deprecated; first confirm that SW Hero supports the page’s current content and design. If SW Simple Hero still appears in the module picker, use SW Hero and ask Smithworks support to review the theme setup.
