SEO, AI & AEO

What is the smallest useful AI workflow a business can start with?

Start with one recurring task, such as drafting a service page or checking a website change. Write down the outcome, the source of truth, what AI may change, who reviews the result, and how you will verify it. Test that brief on a low-risk task before building a larger set of instructions. Add rules for repeated or costly mistakes, not for every small preference.

You do not need a large instruction library to begin. Choose a task you perform often enough to learn from, name what a good result would accomplish, and give AI the current material it should use. State what must stay unchanged and who owns the final decision.

After the first run, inspect the output where it will actually be used. Keep the useful parts of the brief and record any missing source, boundary, or verification step that caused trouble. A workflow becomes more detailed when the task repeats or an error would be expensive, not because complexity is a sign of maturity.
