SW Modules

Frequently Asked Questions - SW Sprocket Rocket Modules

These FAQs explain how Smithworks SW Modules work inside HubSpot, especially for Sprocket Rocket-style themes. Use them to choose the right module, understand common settings, and give AI agents better context before they start guessing.

How does SW CTA Popup Events choose which event to show?

  1. Events with a past event_date are removed from consideration. Dates use the America/Denver time zone, and an event remains eligible on its event date.
  2. An upcoming row marked as featured takes priority. If several upcoming events are featured, the one with the earliest date is shown.
  3. If no eligible row is featured, the next upcoming event by date is shown.

The browser downloads the Google Sheet, so the Sheet must be shared as Anyone with the link and Viewer. Do not store private information in it.

What happens when there are no upcoming events?

Set When no events to Hide completely (default) or Show default CTA. Hide removes the popup on the live page. The editor shows a compact note so you still know it is there. Visitors never see that note.

How do I change the photo corners without changing the panel border?

Style → Image Settings → Override Image Border Radius (off by default). That is the photo only. Panel stroke is Override Module Inner Border. Panel corners are Override Module Inner Border Radius, which is independent of the stroke. The photo does not inherit the panel border or the panel radius.

How do I hide SW CTA Popup Events on an events page?

Add cta-popup-hide to the page's Body Class under Page contents → Hidden modules → Body Class. This prevents SW CTA Popup Events from opening on that page, which is useful for an events listing or an individual event page. Be careful: the same Body Class also hides SW Popup Panel on that page. Pages without the class continue to show the popup normally.

How do I align quotes and author photos in SW Testimonials?

Open Style → Testimonial Content Settings → Quote Alignment (Desktop) and choose Left, Center, or Right. The quote and the author photo-and-name group move together as one unit. The author's name, title, and company stay left-aligned inside that group. The Read More button has its own alignment control. Use Override Text Alignment (Tablet) or Override Text Alignment (Mobile) when the quote and author group need a different alignment on smaller screens.

How do I add space above or below the author in SW Testimonials?

Style → Testimonial content → Space Above Author and Space Below Author. One pair of numbers applies to every card (not per testimonial). Defaults are 20px / 20px. Space Above sits between the quote and the photo/name cluster; Space Below sits after that cluster (before Read more or the card bottom).

How do I add a glass or frost effect on SW Body + Inset?

Open Style → Module Background Settings and set Module Inner Background Options to Effect. Choose Glass, Grain, or Pattern. This paints the Inner card, not the inset float. Outer does not use video.

How do I turn on Outer Animated in SW Body + Inset?

Open Style → Module Background Settings and set Module Outer Background Options to Animated. Save or publish the page, then check the published view because the editor may show a still version instead of the live motion. Outer Aurora Overlay and SVG Overlay are for supported non-Animated Outer fills and do not display at the same time as Animated. Visitors who prefer reduced motion receive the static fallback.

How do I round the Inner corners in SW Body + Inset without adding a border?

Turn on Override Module Inner Border Radius, then set Module Inner Border Radius (px). This control changes the corner shape without adding a visible border. Override Module Inner Border controls the border line separately, so you can leave it off. If the radius override is off, the module uses the theme's Global Border Radius.
