SW Modules

Frequently Asked Questions - SW Sprocket Rocket Modules

These FAQs explain how Smithworks SW Modules work inside HubSpot, especially for Sprocket Rocket-style themes. Use them to choose the right module, understand common settings, and give AI agents better context before they start guessing.

Should I enable JobPosting schema in SW Careers Basic?

Leave Output JobPosting Schema off when SW Careers Basic displays several openings on one careers listing page. Google requires JobPosting markup on a page dedicated to one job and specifically says not to place it on a list of jobs, so the module’s multi-job output is not eligible for Google’s job-search experience. If each opening has its own detailed page, add complete JobPosting markup to that individual page and make sure the visible job information matches it. Validate the final URL with Google’s Rich Results Test and follow its JobPosting structured data requirements.

What is SW Phone Animation AI Products?

SW Phone Animation AI Products is a page section that pairs typewriter-style messaging with changing icons on a device image. Larger screens show a hand holding the phone, while smaller screens use a phone-only image. It works well when you need to show a product story or a sequence of connected capabilities in a compact visual. It is a custom module and is not included in standard Smithworks themes.

When should I use SW Phone Animation AI Products?

Use SW Phone Animation AI Products when you want to connect short lines of copy with changing icons on a phone image. It is a good fit for product storytelling, channel demonstrations, or a sequence of features that makes more sense as an animation. Use SW Hero for a standard page banner. Use SW FAQs Basic when the primary job is answering questions.

How do I change the typewriter lines, icons, and background in SW Phone Animation AI Products?

  • Animation Items: Edit each line of text and its matching icon.
  • Desktop Image and Mobile Image: Replace the device images for larger and smaller screens.
  • Animation Settings: Adjust the fade, hold, and pause timing.
  • Icon Size Mobile (%): Size icons on the phone-only image. Icon Size (%) controls their size on the hand-and-phone image.
  • Override Mobile Icon Overlay: Adjust the icon's position or rotation specifically for phones.

The default wave comes from the module's outer background image, so update that background when you want a different backdrop.

What is the difference between Pop and Expand in SW Cards Animated?

Under Style → Card → Motion, choose Pop for a quick scale effect that can use Bounce. Choose Expand for a staged opening sequence: the icon appears, the card widens, the card grows taller, and then the copy appears. This setting controls the animation on larger screens. On smaller screens, the cards are stacked and open without that staged sequence.

What is the SW Careers Page template?

SW Careers Page is a starter template for building a careers page in HubSpot. It includes a hero, job listings through SW Careers Basic, and space for an application form on the same page. After creating the page, add your own jobs, messaging, and form. The template affects new pages created from it; it does not change existing pages.

How do I create a careers page with the SW Careers Page template?

  1. Create a new website page in HubSpot and choose the SW Careers Page template.
  2. Open SW Careers Basic and replace the sample jobs with your openings.
  3. Select the HubSpot form you want applicants to use.

No specific form is selected for you, so confirm the form before publishing. The finished page lets visitors browse openings and apply without leaving the page.

What are Job Cards in SW Careers Basic?

Job Cards control how each opening is presented. When Job Cards are on, every job appears in its own bordered card and the expandable details open inside that card. When Job Cards are off, openings appear as a stacked Accordion 2 list with separators between rows. Choose the option that best matches the look you want for the page.

How does the resubmit cooldown work on the SW Careers Basic application form?

The resubmit cooldown is optional and starts only after a visitor successfully submits the selected HubSpot form and sees the thank-you message in the same form area. It is stored in that visitor's browser, so it does not block the same person across every device or browser. The cooldown does not run when the form sends the visitor to another page, when no form is selected, or when an Apply button uses a separate link. Clearing site data removes the saved timer, so treat this as a practical way to reduce repeat submissions—not as a way to identify and block a person everywhere.

What does SW Events Basic do?

SW Events Basic displays upcoming events as open cards with an image, title, date and time, location, short description, and RSVP action. The RSVP can open a HubSpot form in a popup or send visitors to a separate link. You can manage events directly in the module, from a shared Google Sheet, or from a CSV file in HubSpot's File Manager. Use it for a straightforward event list that does not need separate event pages or a HubDB directory.
