SW Modules

Frequently Asked Questions - SW Sprocket Rocket Modules

These FAQs explain how Smithworks SW Modules work inside HubSpot, especially for Sprocket Rocket-style themes. Use them to choose the right module, understand common settings, and give AI agents better context before they start guessing.

How do I add an icon before a feature label in SW Feature List?

Open Content → Rows and edit the feature row. Set Label Icon to Font Awesome, Custom icon (upload), or Custom SVG code. Font Awesome and custom SVG icons follow the label text color, while uploaded files keep their own colors. The icon is hidden when Show in Chart is off.

What is Module Inner Rim in SW Pillar Section?

Module Inner Rim adds a visible frame around the entire inner content area. Go to Style → Module Background → Module Inner Rim Options, choose Effect, and then select Glass, Grain, or Pattern. Module Inner Background Options controls the surface inside that frame, so you can pair the rim with an inner background such as white. The rim remains off until you choose Effect, and its default width is 25 pixels.

How is Inner Rim different from Inner Effect on SW Pillar Section?

Module Inner Background Options → Effect frosts the whole Inner panel. Module Inner Rim Options → Effect frosts only the frame; Inner Background still paints the card inside. You can use both (frosted frame plus a frosted face). Leave Rim on None if you only want full-panel Inner Effect.

How do I round the inner card inside the glass rim in SW Pillar Section?

Think of the setting as three layers: Module Inner Border Radius (px) rounds the outside edge, Rim (px) sets the thickness of the glass frame, and Face Corner Radius (px) rounds the solid inner card. By default, the face radius is the outer radius minus the rim, with a minimum of 0.

  1. Open Style → Positioning → Module background and set Module Inner Rim Options to Effect.
  2. Turn on Override Module Inner Border, set Module Inner Border Radius (px), and then set Rim (px) in the Glass, Grain, or Pattern settings for the rim.
  3. In those same rim settings, turn on Override Face Corner Radius and enter Face Corner Radius (px).

For example, an outer radius of 28px with a 25px rim produces a 3px face radius automatically. To round the white inner card to 16px instead, turn on the face override and enter 16.

How do Default, Custom, and Full Screen heights differ in SW Hero?

Default lets the hero height fit its content. Choose Custom Height when you want to set the minimum height with Height (px). Full Screen expands the hero to fill the visitor's screen. Start with Default for most pages, then use the other options when the design calls for a specific visual effect.

What outline button styles can I use in SW Pillar Section?

SW Pillar Section includes five outline button styles:

  • Outline Primary
  • Outline Secondary
  • Outline Tertiary
  • Outline White
  • Outline Dark

To apply one, open Content → Buttons in the Header, a content column, or Footer Content, then choose Button Style for that button. Use a style with enough contrast against the section background so the button remains easy to see.

What should I check if an SW Pillar Section button is missing or does not open the right page?

Open the button item in SW Pillar Section and confirm it has meaningful Text and the intended Link. Preview the page and test the button before publishing. If the link is blank or opens a # placeholder instead of a page, reselect or re-enter the destination, save, and preview it again. If the values change again after saving or after you change Button Style, stop editing and contact Smithworks support so the page can be reviewed.

How do I set the top bar content width without shrinking the colored bar?

In SW Header Simple, open Style → Top Bar Style → Max Top Bar Width (Default / Small / Large / Full / Custom; default Full).

That control limits the content (links, phone numbers, text). The colored background still goes edge to edge. After 2026.09.08.16.54, publish global header content and hard-refresh.
