## 1. Purpose and When to Use

The module sits in the Smithworks footer and draws nothing of its own. A link with href `#egb-access` opens a modal. The visitor enters first name, last name, email, a letter, and four digits. The module sends that to the HubSpot form **EGB Redirect Module** (contact property **EGB ID**, internal name `egb_id`, value like `a-4829`) and checks whether `/egb/{id}` exists.

- A real brief redirects the whole page to `/egb/{id}`. HubSpot shows its own password wall. This module does not collect the page password.
- A missing brief stays in the modal with the not-found message.
- Nothing runs on page load. The editor does not open the modal.

Place one instance in the global footer. On any page that should offer access, add a button or text link to `#egb-access`. Pages without that link never show the modal.

## 2. Configuration Reference

**Content**

| Label | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Form | HubSpot form that stores the contact. Default is EGB Redirect Module. Thank-you message only; do not set a form redirect. |
| Processing heading | Headline while the brief is checked. Default: Taking you to your brief. |
| Processing line | Line under the animation. Default: One moment. |
| Not found heading | Headline when the brief does not exist. |
| Not found message | Body copy. HTML is allowed, including a link. |
| ID field label | Label above the letter and four-digit boxes. Default: EGB ID. |
| Try again label | Button that returns to the form. |

Return link text and Return link URL are unused leftovers. Do not rely on them.

---

## 3. Use cases

- Footer is installed once. A meeting page button says “Open your brief” and links to `#egb-access`.
- Not-found copy points people to request a new brief: `<a href="/meeting">Executive Growth Brief</a>`. The link uses the theme link color.
